About Romain (“Roman”)

Born in France and raised in Saskatoon, Romain is fluently bilingual and provides legal services in both English and French. He has extensive experience advocating before Saskatchewan courts in both languages.

Romain was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2014 after completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa. He previously earned a Bachelor of Arts with High Honours from the University of Saskatchewan.

Romain has broad litigation experience, including in family, constitutional, employment, and professional regulatory law. His experience also includes wills and estates, drafting by-laws and regulations, and advising non-profit organizations. His primary focus is family law, where he advises and represents clients on divorce and separation, property division, parenting, and support. He has appeared before all levels of court in Saskatchewan and has also worked extensively on matters before the Supreme Court of Canada involving constitutional law.

Romain is an active member and former president and board member of organizations dedicated to improving access to French-language legal services in Saskatchewan and across Canada. He has also presented on family law matters at Canadian Bar Association Continuing Professional Development conferences.

Romain brings a practical and approachable perspective to legal problems, providing clear advice and helping clients navigate difficult and often complex circumstances efficiently.

Outside the office, Romain enjoys volunteering for animal rescues, travelling, board games, racquet sports, fantasy football, and reading about history and international politics.
