About Michael
Michael S. Scott brings over three decades of courtroom and negotiation experience to his broad litigation practice, with a focus on civil, family, criminal, and administrative law. Born in Moose Jaw and educated in political science at the University of Regina before earning his LL.B. at the University of Saskatchewan, Mike was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1987 and has since built a reputation for sharp advocacy and pragmatic counsel.
An early standout in his career, Mike was the youngest-ever Family Law presenter for the Saskatchewan Bar Admission Course. He is a longstanding member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan, Canadian Bar Association, Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association, and the South Saskatchewan Association of Criminal Defence Lawyers.
In addition to his legal practice, Mike has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Board of Directors for the Globe Theatre. Outside the office, he enjoys an active lifestyle—playing soccer and hockey, and spending time outdoors skiing, biking, and staying engaged in community life.
