Matthew was born and raised in Queens, New York. He completed his undergraduate degree at Queens College, where he graduated magna cum laude and received honours in both History and Business.

In 2019, Matthew moved to Regina, Saskatchewan. He obtained a Master of Arts in History from the University of Regina, where he received several awards for his research. In 2022, Matthew was admitted into the University of Saskatchewan College of Law and was awarded the Harris, Lauretta and Raymond Earl Parr Memorial Scholarship in Law. During his legal studies, he concurrently pursued and obtained a Master of Business Administration at the University of Saskatchewan’s Edwards School of Business in 2024, where he was awarded the N. Murray Edwards Scholarship. Matthew graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law, in 2025.

In his time away from the office, Matthew enjoys international travel and building his life in Regina with his wife, daughter, and puppy.
